A Basic Understanding of How and Why They Work

Essential Oils

Aromatherapy is the process of inhalation and topical application of essential oils (or the pure essence from plants). Known as a form of alternative medicine, it is used to enhance physical, mental (emotional), and spiritual well-being.
Here are some of the general benefits of aromatherapy.

Inhalation
When a person inhales an essential oil, that scent is carried by olfactory nerve cells in the nose which then sends the aroma to the brain, namely the limbic system. This is known as the place of emotions and emotional behavior such as intimacy, passion and mood. Once inhaled, and depending on the oil being used, you may begin to feel more alert, more relaxed, calm, and even energetic. You may feel the release of negative emotions, stress, and/or the soothing of tension throughout your body. Mood enhancers like serotonin and endorphins are getting released.

Our sense of smell is more powerful than any of the other senses and the recognition of smell is almost instantaneous. (Other senses like touch travel to the brain through the spinal cord.) Smell is also the strongest link to the subconscious mind where memories are stored.

Applying it Topically
Essential oils have high antioxidant properties as measured by the Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity (ORAC), a test developed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Tufts University to measure the antioxidant speed and power of free radical inhibition. The oxidative damage caused by free radicals is implicated in everything, from aging and wrinkling of skin to DNA damage, cancer, heart disease, and premature death.
 
While vegetables and fruits have antioxidant power (e.g., cucumber at 60 units of antioxidant strength; celery at 75 units; apple at 207 units; broccoli at 890 units; blueberries at 2,400 units), essential oils have higher antioxidant strength (e.g., Oregano oil at 15,300 units; Peppermint has an ORAC of 37,300 units; Patchouli has an approximate ORAC of 49,400 units.) (“Units” are actually called “TE/L.” TE/L and expressed as a micromole Trolox equivalent per 100 grams.)

Mood Enhancer
In addition to the antioxidant properties essential oils bring when applied to the skin, the oils also invoke good feelings of wellness and vitality. According to researchers in Washington using Tainio Technology, everything has a frequency. Also, the vibrational frequency of essential oils is the highest of any natural substance tested. Through the principle of entrainment the oil’s higher frequency will raise the vibratory quality of that individual.

For example, their technology has shown the following frequencies:

•    Healthy human body is 62-78 MHz.
•    Human cells can start to change (mutate) when their frequency drops below 62 MHz.
•    58 MHz is the frequency of your body when you have a cold or the flu.
•    When candida is present within your body, you vibrate at a frequency of 55 MHz.
•    52 MHz is the frequency of a body with Epstein-Barr virus present.
•    42 MHz is the frequency of a body wherein cancer can appear.
•    When the death process begins, the frequency has been measured at 20 MHz.

The measured frequencies of essential oils have been shown to go as high as 320 MHz as seen with Rose essential oil. Lavender has a frequency of 118 MHz and Frankincense has a frequency of 147 MHz. When you’re in “good health” you typically have a frequency of at least 70 MHz.
To put this frequency business into perspective, dead foods such as hamburgers and chicken have a frequency of 3 to 5 MHz while canned and processed food contain 0 MHz. Raw almonds, fresh foods, and greens such as broccoli and wheatgrass have frequencies between 50 and 70 MHz.

Energy is Everything

Here are some lifestyle tips based on energy frequencies:

1. Cook your meals with fresh ingredients and garden herbs. Fresh produce has a frequency up to 15 MHz, dry herbs from 12 to 22 MHz, and fresh herbs from 20 to 27 MHz. Avoid processed and canned foods since they have no measurable frequency whatsoever. 

2. Go offline and reduce your usage of electronic devices periodically. You are probably aware about the ill effects of electronic devices but continue to use them anyway. Here is why it is important to go on an electronic fast. Your lamps, television, radio, phone, microwave and all emit dissonant energies. According to David Stewart in The Chemistry of Essential Oils Made Simple, when something vibrates at many dissonant frequencies, it produces “chaotic or incoherent frequencies.” They fracture the human electrical field and result in illness and diseases.
 
3. Avoid prescription drugs and products that contain toxic ingredients. Pharmaceuticals and synthetic and/or toxic products are substances that also do not produce coherent frequencies. Similarly, household products such as Clorox wipes, tile cleaners, and other synthetic disinfectants are easily absorbed into the bloodstream, thus lowering one’s frequency by building up toxins in your body.   

4. Use pure and organic essential oils (e.g. Simple Matters). Most naturally occurring substances, including essential oils, have coherent frequencies that resonate harmoniously with the electrical field of the human body. Therefore, by applying an essential oil you can restore your body back to its original natural harmonic resonance. For an oil blend, its therapeutic frequency is derived from the combination of single oils.
 
5. Use the power of intention. Amplify the effect of essential oils with the power of positive intention such as Prayer! Prayer raises your energy frequency by at least 15 MHz!

Remember, essential oils (i.e. pure and organic) have properties that can help you realign emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. Essential oils in the lower frequencies have more effect on structural and physical changes, including cells, hormones, and bones, as well as viruses and bacteria; they help to clear out the toxins. We now know that toxins are not able to thrive in a high frequency environment.
